Angel

My pics are not the best and this piece looks oh so much better in "person."  Pan pastels, my new thing, and encaustic.  Pan pastels are different from stick pastels, which I just really don't like because of the mess and dust.  There is virtually no dust with these pan type pastels.  The encaustic medium flows smoothly and does not mix up the colors too much, amazingly enough.  My other medium, cold wax and oil, probably would not be compatible, but I'm going to try it.  Oh, the other thing is that you can cover a lot of "ground" with these pan pastels very quickly.  The color is extremely concentrated.  Just another part of my art arsenal!!!!
