I've been turned on to a new surface for cold wax and oil by Rebecca Crowell (internationally known cold wax and oil artist). This surface is paper with a resin coating. Rebecca is using this for art work that will be shown in Dublin, Ireland (how cool is that?). I've ordered several small pieces and hopefully will have time to demonstrate this at Art Talk in Seneca, SC at The Artists Loft on 9/24/11 from 11-1. Even though Claybord is an awesome surface to work on, it gets cumbersome trying to move around. We'll see how it goes. Here's a link to Rebecca's work:
